The principle of СТА-500М operation is similar to the principle of СТА-500СВ operation, but its capabilities are extended due to a larger working area, a more powerful feed drive of Mitsubishi Company and an extended heating zone. This model comes in two variants - СТА-500М and СТА-500МС (have different configuration). The СТА-500МС model we supply to the EU countries (Spain, Portugal).

This is an automatic thermoforming machine; this model is versatile in terms of the product range made of rigid plastic: cups, jars, cake domes, salad bowls, plates, ice-cream bowls, chocolate trays, ice-cream containers, egg trays, substrates for semi-finished products, trays for confectionery products and biscuits, blister package – all these products are made by СТА-500М Universal.

To work with this model, you can use different roll plastic: polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), oriented polystyrene (OPS), laminated PVC / PE, PET / PE.

Components: pneumatics of the «CAMOZZI» company (Italy); servo drive of the «Mitsubishi» company, infrared ceramic tubular electric heating elements of the OBR Backer company (Ireland); engines of the «Motovario» company (Italy).

The tooling for «Universal» is duralumin moulds with band knives (cutting dies), and this model allows you to work with the plug-assist moulds. Band knives are of the «BOHLLER» company (Germany).

Basic advantages of СТА-500М «Universal»:

- possibility to work in several modes:

а) negative forming (depth up to 130 mm);

b) positive and negative forming;;

- possibility of obtaining an absolutely accurate product shape as a forming and a punching cycles occur simultaneously in the same unit;

- possibility to get products made of thinner-gauge materials through the plug-assist forming (cake domes, containers etc.);

- possibility of obtaining products the diameter (or perimeter) of which is less than the height (deep containers, cups, etc.) by the plug-assist forming;

- intensive non-contact heating with the infrared ceramic heaters of the «OBR Backer» company (Ireland) makes it possible to heat up quickly material that influences the forming cycle reduction and the material warming-up uniformity;

- automatic loading of a film roll.

One of the main advantages of СТА-500М «Universal» is quickly manufactured QMM moulds(Quick Make Mould) with band knives.

If before it was necessary for forming the products of roll plastic to manufacture expensive moulds (gapless dies) the manufacturing cycle of which is 3-4 months, then now using our QMM moulds with band knives you can significantly increase a range of manufactured plastic packaging and save considerably on moulds.

The manufacturing cycle of the QMM mould is 1-1.5 months including the design and engineering documentation.

All this makes it possible to quickly respond to market needs, build the production program with more flexibility and expand the range of output goods.

The СТА-500М «Universal» model is designed for three-shift operation mode and is quite suitable for both companies with a continuous production process of similar products and companies manufacturing a wide range of plastic packaging.

1. An automatic stacker for end products with the function of item counting in the stack.

Operation scheme:

Roll unwinding –> preheating with infrared ceramic heaters on the top and at the bottom –> cut-in-place forming of products –> removal of the molded products by the manipulator into stacks –> cutting of tape waste with an automatic knife into segments.
